Polyurethane ?

deuce02 Feb 19, 2004 10:06 PM

How long should I allow Polyurethane to dry prior to introducing animals to the cage? It says to allow to dry up to 12-48 hr. for it to be 100% dry but does that allow ample time for the all the fumes to diminish?

2-3 days in a well ventilated area, and put a heat lamp or fan in it to help the fumes find a way out. I usually do both, a small fan inside and a heat lamp to warm the air.

The kind of lamp you would use for heat in a snake cage or lizard cage...or anything to warm the inside of the cage will helps with curing and gassing of the polyE.
