paradisio Feb 20, 2004 12:28 AM

Sorry for asking so many questions, does anyone know a site that has pictures of different mouse breeds/strains? Perferably of their common name not lab stuff, thanks

you mean lab mice, or fancy mice?

I have pictures on my website of zillions of varieties of mice (fancy ones)

You are looking for varietys. All 'lab' mice are the same type. Different colors are here.

Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with the software.

Actually, there are several hundred strains of lab mice, and they are in many cases phenotypically quite different. However I'm not sure if pictures of the various lab strains is what this person is after.

I was just trying to clarify that mice don't come in different 'breeds' but rather varietys. And yes, labs have strains that are bred for one thing or another and possibly distinguishable. I thought the OP was looking for color types and coat patterns.

There are all kinds of different races of mice as well..such as spiny mice, kangaroo mice, deermice, mule mice..etc....but fancy and lab mice are more typically found for feeders.
