Anyone wanna share pics of their setup?

Tigergenesis Feb 20, 2004 05:58 AM

I love seeing how others have their tanks/cages setup. I'm itching to see some. It's been awhile since we've had a thread of just tank pics. Anyone wanna share?

Sure!I only have one of set up on here right now because of file size for album... but will be putting more on soon. Here is a n update though. Maximus Has switched over to prekilled rats, and eating like a champ! doing really well. I have also put in a red light for at night so I can view him while at the same time not bothering him. I saw him do more last night than ever before. I caught the little bugger making an escape attempt last nigh but he was thwarted....HAHA!well ty for reading and looking!

I would say there are a couple of very happy B.P.'s out there. Very nice.

With the thermostat and all?

tygar Feb 20, 2004 03:13 PM

Thank you for asking!!!
Actually, I've given up on the thermostats...
I went to Lowe's and picked up some dimmer switches, set them up, and my snakes have been cozy ever since!
I guess I will use these until I can get another (better) thermostat.
Thanks for remembering,
Mindy
(I'm going to take some pics tonight, and post them. I haven't taken any of my new female normal yet... she's too cute!)

Really, you could spend about $4 on a mesh and some staples to cover your bulb. Why do you think you shouldn't follow other's advice about covering it? Because your snake hasn't been burned yet? I know you said he can't reach it, but I'm tellin you...he can climb right up that stick and......well...nevermind.

samoID Feb 21, 2004 05:38 PM

i will cover it, just need to find sth good to cover it with!
on the photo it seems that stick is only couple of inches away but it is actually 13 in!
today i rebuilded OZ's hideouts and stuff, next thing is that bulb to deal with!
thx for advise.i just didn't have time to get this bulb as it should be!

Ok good...glad to hear you want to fix it now. 13" is not even half as far from the bulb as it would need to be in order to be out of the reach of that ball python. What is he 3-4 feet long?
