Good books on Corns?

Yertle Jun 09, 2003 01:16 PM

I am planning on purchasing a cornsnake in the future as my first "beginning" snake purchase. There has already been a good piece of research put into making that decision, based the host of smart reasons (reliable appetite, hardy, docile temperment, size, etc.) Now, being that I am a responsible herp owner (I have a Red Eared Slider) I want to do some more research on the specific breed before buying. What books do you guys recommend for over all care and information manuals, health issue troubleshooting, and things like that? Thanks bunches!

Get "The Corn Snake Manual" by Bill & Kathy Love. It has everything you will need to choose, keep & breed corns.
It is very well written and nicely illustrated. Lots of great corn pics. I would reccommend that you read it
cover to cover before you buy.

Good Luck

I agree...The Corn Snake Manual is the best one. Also, I have Reptile Keepers Guides' Corn Snakes by R.D. and Patricia Bartlett. Somehow I ended up with two of those, brand new...sigh...
