Mounting Air Plants (Tillandsia) - Question

tasiamay Feb 20, 2004 10:47 AM

I am in the process of constructing a new terrarium for my Crested Gecko. The entire back of the aquarium is cork bark tiles. I have several air plants (forms of Tillandsia) on the way. My question is this ... what is the best way to mount them to the cork bark? I have heard that both hot glue and silicone (provided ample time to cure) will work. I already have the silicone ... can I use this?

Thanks in advance for the info!

Hi there

I used a hot glue gun to mount mine, it was quick and easy and dried in no time at all. I read some information about them that advised against using silicone, it didn't say why though. Ultimately it's up to you.
