There is an incredible baby gecko at my local PetCo!

I couldn't believe him when I saw him...he's not normal at all. He's a jungle, mostly golden yellow long his back with just a few spots of black, one of which is just a little line pointing head to tail. He's so cute!!

I say "he" because while he is only 2 1/2 to 3 inches long, he's already clearly a male. From the top view, his neck and tail are thicker and I looked under him and he's already got the makings of hemipene bulges in there! He's going to be quite the stud! LOL! I wish I needed a male but alas, I already have 2 and don't really need a 3rd.

They just got this shipment of leos in this morning and I'm sure he wont be there very long!

Yea I see hypos and designers a lot at my local petco, but I'd never buy from them. Too bad they end up not being well taken care of (although I know there are some good stores out there). I guess it depends on the staff.

They do use orange calci-sand though. :/

I go in several times a month for various supplies and always peruse the reptiles on my way around the store. I've never seen any sick ones and they always have fresh water and mealies in the cage.

Over the last 2 years, I have bought 3 leos from there...the first one died but I do still have the other two. It seems that if one is agressive about husbandry, they do ok despite their brief stay at the pet store.

You can't beat a jungle male for $30. Does anyone need him?
