Upcoming breeding for fall '04. Input please!

Brian Oakley Feb 20, 2004 08:53 PM

I was just wondering what people's biggest hopes are for this coming season. I know, a bit early to think about it, but what the hell.
I was talking with a friend today and we were discussing our future breeding plans for this fall. Thinking about all the stuff that could pop up now that some proven traits have been around long enough to cross into other projects.

I will not be doing anything too exciting. Just hoping to produce ghosts, anerys, hypos, dh ghosts. If I am lucky and my female 100% het albino/66% het snow keeps growing, I could produce albinos and MAYBE snows, anerys, and het snows. I will also be producing normals and F-1 Hypos.

My tentative plans for this season (and I am including into jan/feb of 05) are to breed my hypo to my partners male motley so hopefully will have hypomotleys, motleys, hypos and regs from that, and also to make some pastel albinos (if my 66% Ronne het proves out)

That is it for me, unless I can finish one more deal, then I might be making dom salmons as well.

I just love thinking about future breedings ….lol
Paul Mitzelfelt and I will be trying our luck at c/a motleys breeding the male to a few normals and possibly a hypo or two. We have been tossing around the idea of breeding the female motley to a leopard boa producing motleys that are het leopard or maybe breed her to our male ???? I can’t tell all our secrets. The leopards we also plan on breeding to hypos and maybe a dh het sunglow female. Just think of a sunglow leopard I think that would be killer. We have a great deal of possibilities for the coming up season. Not to forget we plan on still producing albinos, hypos, dh sunglows, sunglows, ghost, and dh ghost and all the hets that come with it. With a little luck we should produce c/a motleys this season

hopefully repeatively, and without any success, as I dont want to clean up after any rug rats.

Other then that Im going to sit by and watch snakes grow, and me miss another season. However I MAY get lucky and have one group go, but I dont really count on them till 05.

I will try and toss my ghost male in with some hypo poss dh ghost females. I may also, if he is willing and able, try to prove out my albino poss het snow with one of the female hypo poss dh ghost. But then again, as with everything in life, it will all depend on if the "woman" are ready.
