crested gecko and satanic leaftail together?

phalgirl Feb 21, 2004 08:42 AM

Hello all!

I am really interested in getting a Uroplatus phantasticus, especially after reading that great article in the Reptiles magazine (Great job Neil!) I currently have a 15 G terrarium filled with tropical plants. A 3 month old crested lives there now. The temp range is 70 - 75 F. I would not house them together when they are older because I think the crested might bite the Uroplatus, but I don't know.

Also, How are satanic leaftails when it comes to handling? And what is their lifespan?

Thanks so much!

Uroplatus are very delicate, and stress out very easily. You can't keep these two species together, not even for a short period of time.

well i hate to say it, but i have an adult phantasticus that i have kept with a baby crested gecko since the beginning of the year. both are doing fine together, and i am just keeping them together until the crested gets a little bigger.
