Poor baby turtle

owen13 Feb 21, 2004 09:06 AM

I don't know what happened, one day my turtle is fine, the next I find it all puffed up floating on the top of the water. I had just done a water change about 2/3. There was some algea, I used stress coat to kill the algea. I just want to know what went wrong and if my other turtle is in any danger?
Thanks

Just some notes:

Stress Coat doesn't kill algae, it's just to help fish. If you don't have any fish, don't use it.

Algae doesn't hurt turtles, although if you have a bunch of it you may want to check your water quality (ammonia levels, ect.)

"The serpent crams itself with animal life that is often warm and vibrant, to prolong an existence in which we detect no joy and no emotion. It reveals the depth to which evolution can sink when it takes the downward path and strips animals to the irreducible minimum able to perpetuate a predatory life in its naked horror."
