Hi – I like that roomy cage with all the vertical space for climbing. I bet your snake utilizes the entire cage. May I make a couple of suggestions? I think your snake will feel more secure if you offer it one or more hide places that are lower than the one I see off to the left in your photo. I aim for something that touches or almost touches their backs when they are coiled up snugly. Also the material (sphagnum?) you have in and around the hide looks saturated with water which could lead to “scale rot” on its belly.

Is that flower pot in the upper right part of the cage SECURELY attached to the shelf? If not, it will definitely fall down. A likely scenario is that the snake grips on to it with its neck to gain purchase to the shelf and brings the pot crashing down on to its body below, causing probable injury.

What sort of heat source are you using and how are your temperatures?

you're right...he uses whole cage, mostly at night!i already replaced that hide over there..i've been working on OZ's terarium for 5 hours today...i'll post a picture tommorow (in about 10 hours from now)
so from tommorow on she OZ will have 4 hideouts in his cage
material is not wet...humidity is different...on the upper-left side is 30%, down-right is 60% etc.!
this flower is well glued on the shelf
My heat sources...as you can see: 1 UV lamp (23in), 1 sun light lamp (23in), 1 100W reflector bulb and 2 undertank heaters!
temps are: 86 in the middle floor, little less on the ground floor and 90 on the upper floor!
anything else you're concerned about?
please tell if uyou find any more things to add!

Hi - I’m guessing you may have a hard time keeping the humidity up with all those ventilation holes in the back of the cage. But you can always cover some of them up from behind the unit if you need to.

You didn’t mention having one or more thermostats to control all those lighting/heating devices. You really should have something, if only just a lamp dimmer.

What is that substrate in the bottom of the cage? Looks like kitty litter, but I can’t tell for sure. And last question, are you from Slovenia?

those are not holes...actually they are, but not through the back side...they are only 2mm deep and there is no air coming in there!
substrate is not kitty litter...it is normal washed sand (with no calcium and stuff), on the right side is dirt, which keeps humidity!
i have a digital thermostat, which i move around to check the temps...you can see it on the photo...white small box!
but i eplaced it with smaller temp/humidity meter!
i'll post a photo soon!
and yes i am from Slovenia
