what is a good substrate to use for a mangrove monitor that looks decent and is decntly priced? where can i get it. the only stuff at my local petstore is that exo-terra bark . expensive for a big cage.

I hear that cypress mulch is agood substrate because of the high humidity levels the monitors need. I hope this helps.

I'd go combo cypres mulch and topsoil.
