Looking for Mentor(s) in TX

Howdy,

I'm a student at Texas A&M University studying animal science. Masters will be in Toxicology and with that I'd really like to work around companies dealing with the study or production of antivenins or the effects of venom(s) on the body.

I know a little about venemous snakes but not a ton and would love to expand my knowledge. Not looking to own any as of now but learn more about them. Any species, native or non-native. I've been reading books and online pages etc. but would really like to meet someone 'in the industry' so to speak.
