I want to build a rack system (may need to make more than one)and I have the tubs I want picked out, but I am flipping on what way to organize it, longer, deeper, ect... Also I am open to using similar sized tubs if you can find them cheaper, and also willing to make this into more than one rack if need be IF YOU CAN FIND THEM CHEAPER, LET ME KNOW PLEASE!

Here are the boxes I want to use.

4 - 52 7/8" x 20 7/8" x 14 1/16" $29.00 ea
4 - 39" x 19 7/8" x 6 1/4" $19.00 ea
4 - 23 9/16" x 16 1/4" x 6 3/4" $9.50 ea
20 - 13 5/16" x 8 5/16" x 3 3/4" $5.00 ea

I'm using the Sterlite 24x16x6 and 24x16x12 (approx. measurements) and they were between 3 to 5 bucks each at WalMart. My first rack that I built was a BIG learning experiment and I plan on making some adjustments in the future, but with heat tape and all the trimmings (casters, etc), I spent about $150 bucks...and that included the screws.

The logistics of figuring out different shelves for different sized tubs is a nightmare...I would stick to making entire racks for different depths and widths. Vary only with the height and you will have less wasted space in the longrun.

Just my 2cents.
