Woma Question

hisshers Jun 09, 2003 03:10 PM

Hello! I have been checking this website out for years and never joined because I thought there was an annual fee. In time you will see that I am cheap

However, I am among my people! My question: I have recently purchased an unrelated pair of Womas and am wondering if I can house them together or if it is best to keep them apart. I don't feed in the enclosure, keep them separated for some time after feeding, and wipe them off before putting them back in their enclosure. I would rather not have to get another enclosure (think I could use that word more in this?) but will do what I have to do to keep these gorgeous things!

Thanks in advance

i house my two unrelated womas togeather with no problems. however they are the same size. i had an encounter with the female trying to eat the male once, but it was right after they had both eaten some mice. i would say keep them togeather if you want just continue to feed them seperatly and make sure to rinse them off before returning them to the cage.

I have never had Womas but I have heard that their have been cases of cannabalism in Womas and black heads. That being said if you are "cheap" you may want to protect yourself and seperate them, they definetly arent cheap!

I wouldn't do it! They will eat another snake as readily as an Eastern King. The feeding response is amazing in my female. You are talking about a $1000 snake and a $250 nice 36" Vision cage with all the amenities. It's a no-brainer.
