Yes, that's enough quantity. However, meal worms are not as good for them as superworms. Also, you can't gutload silkies like you can crix. Keep offering him crix for a few days. When he gets hungry enough he;ll eat them. And try different six=zed crix. And get a really good gutload such as the one from www.herpnutrition.com. Otherwise you're going to overdo the supplements and they'll eventually do him in. Ed

do you keep your crix in a bowl or do you let them "free range" throughout the enclosure?...my jax is pretty stubborn about eating from the dish...he'll only take superworms from it...once in awhile lobster roaches when he's desperate

I free range crix whenever possible, i.e., in screen cages. In wire mesh cages I'm forced to use a feeding bowl but when I do, I try to make it as large as possible. In 2 of my cages it occupies fully 1/2 of the cage floor. And I toss in pieces of sweet potato, carrot and/or sugar cane to gut load the crix, to give them moisture, and to provide a place for them to hide. I use toothpicks to stand these things on end and the chams like to shoot the prey off of the upright carrot, etc. I think that also protects the tongue from slamming ito the floor of the bowl.Ed
