That looks fantastic!
But
How often do you clean it?
It should be every day! Doens't that seem like a daunting task to do EVERY day? If you can;t handle the every day cleaning, i would suggest not having a waterfall. I would suggest not having a waterfall period.
If i were you, i would forget about using the waterfall for chams because of the dangers of bacteria buildup and drowning. Use of waterfalls in anole tanks and amphibian tanks is extremely useful, so why don't you save it for that (if you still think you can clean the waterfall every day)
First off thanks for the info but yes i am one of those dorks that cant stand poop. So i cleen my cage everynight. Drowning how there is no way no were to do it? deepest it goes is 4 cm lol no way that can happen also its moving water hard for bad stuff to live in moving water such as bact
i gave up on my waterfall (same one you have) because the crickets always found a way into it and it had to be cleaned every day...i tried putting small gravel around the openings and they still got in...you know when they drown in there because it smells like the fulton street fish market in your cage.
as long as no mildew builds up and the poop and crix don't get in the water, then it's all good if you ask me. I respect your effort for the every-day cleaning (i never do it every day, i'll just take out 2 or 3 poopies every second day or so).
How often do you guys all do an all-round cleaning, like cleaning the frame, branches etc.?
I haven't done a complete cleanup as of yet (3 months) as my jax is kind enough to poop in his dripper collection bowl every morning
You can put a bit of screen in/out of the bowl to keep crix from drowning themselves, or make a mesh cover for it that can be removed easily for cleaning. Also, if you are counting on the waterfall/fogger to humidify your whole cage be careful. Use a good quality humidity gauge to make sure it is doing what you want it to.
