Just wondering... Has anyone ever tried dying regular playsand with a non-toxic dye, food coloring maybe?

I haven't tried this, but I would be concerned about dying my lizard at the same time. I kept a few in the blue rubbermaids for a little while and ended up with blue beardies for about a month (actually I wish they came in that color it was really cool). No harm done and it came off with the next shed but it's something to consider.
