Do any of you place a toilet paper roll in their leos cage?

LeopardGeckoMan Feb 21, 2004 10:56 PM

i was just wondering because i thought i saw one in the cage of someone.

And do your leos ever try to climb on them and balance? mine has good balance if you ask me she stayed on it for like 10 seconds because it started to roll.

Yea I use them, but I try to secure them so they don't roll

Would it be safe to use either scotch tape or duct tape to secure it down. I mean like putting the duct tape through the tube.

I wouldn't, if it got on the leo it might be painful for the leo to remove it

I've heard many very bad experiences with tape, to the point where the people involved begged everyone never to put tape in their cages for any reason.

It reveals the depth to which evolution can sink when it takes the downward path and strips animals to the irreducible minimum able to perpetuate a predatory life in its naked horror."

I use them also, they make great dry hides. But I usually cut them in half for smaller geckos or I cut a striaght line through them so If a gecko was hiding in it and for some reason I had to get it out, I could just open it up easily instead of having to shake them out.
