My eggs are about a week old..

My 22 gram female laid a clutch.I separated them when it was too late.Well i thought the eggs would be infertile but since i had them in my homemade incubator i havent seen them dent of nutin...Shouldnt they go bad if they are infertile of what ? please help me out here/

if they're intertile the most likey are if the female was only 22 grams...you shou;d've waited till she was at least 60grams..but if they're infertile they'll turn yellow get moldy and feel like a half full water balloon

MOst infertile eggs seem to dent or mold over within a week even a few days in my experiance. But there are exeptions. I have one egg in the incubator that has been the since Jan. 2. It looks great but there is nothing inside of it. I can't see anthing in there so I am sure it is infertile. I just have left it in there because it looks so good, it is nice and firm and white.

Thats what hapenin wit my 2 eggs ? So how would i know its fertile witout maybe killing the baby inside ?

Sometimes their first clutches are fertile. In fact 2 of mine this year had fertile first clutches.
The way you can tell is take a mini flashlight and shine it in the egg, gently placeing it in top of the egg in a dark room. If it glows pink it is fertile, if it is yellow it is infertile.
