Any pics of Sunglows as adults 6' ??

LauraV Feb 22, 2004 12:35 AM

I've been wanting to compare how they look to normal albino adults. I've been wanting to get my hands on an albino, but have held off for the last couple of years because I'm just not crazy about all yellow on a snake. Call me crazy please...shh...I don't like the all white of snows either...but don't tell anyone because I will surely be sent to the white padded cells....
I'm leaning towards coral albino because there is more color...but, am uncertain how Sunglow adults or AlbioXSuri adults look. I did see the stunning younger AlbinoXAuri below...but will it shed that color as it matures...

**If anyone has adult (6 or more feet) pics of all three...I would love to see them all together...**

Thanks...

I have very limited experience with any of these types of albinos, infact I have only been keeping any of my boas for just over a year now.
as for the younger suri cross albino I posted below, she is an early '03 and was very pale when I first received her. she was pale white with light pinkish saddles.. I seriously considered returning her.. but I had just purchased my Salmon and wanted to try for sunglows some day so I kept her.. Since I've had her, her color has slowly started to come out more and more and has only become more red, pink and orange each time she sheds. I've wondered about her adult appearance as well, but I can only hope that she will continue coloring up..

just wanted to pass on my experience with this particular individual.

I would also greatly appreciate seeing any pics of adult or other yearling suri cross albinos..

I only have pictures of adult coral albinos. I did have a litter of sunglows last year and will be expecting a few litters this year including (if I'm lucky) an Arabesque sunglow or two!!! I think the colors in albinos and sunglows can run from the yellow you spoke of to unbelievably pink and orange. The picture I've attached is an adult coral female that is courting as we speak and her colors intensified as she grew and at some point, they just maintained. If you'll note, the pattern did fade somewhat but the color is actually where the pattern wouldn't be. My own opinion for what it's worth, it really depends on the parents as to how intense the color the resulting offspring will get but even within the same litter there will be a range...........just like in any litter of boas.
