I have heard that alot of you use washed playsand for a substrate and I am starting to set up my enclosure and have decided on that too. And I have a question, how do you "wash" it?
Thanx

we have started using pool filtration sand, which youcan get at home depot for $5 for a 50 lb bag. we like this sand a lot because it is very very clean but also very fine, no random chunks of bigger pieces for the uros to accidentally swallow. they really seem to like it too, digging like crazy and kicking it all over each other.

When you purchase the sand, it should already be washed. It will state it on the bag. There isn't any need for any more washing to be done
. Just make sure its the kids playsand and says "washed" on the bag. Then you'll know its ok
