Here are some new pics of my Waters. This is Savane, the one I suspect is female. I have had her since September 26th and she has grown from approx. 14" to around 27" on a steady diet of fortified, cooked ground chicken and mice.

Nice looking waters, they are getting to the size where you should be able to sex them.

Care to guess at the sex? If I had to guess, I would say Savane the larger one is female (head shape and general behavior) and Sully the little one is male, but who really knows until someone everts or drops eggs.

Well since you asked, I think you have them reversed. Sully looks female and Savane is male. I could be wrong (but I doubt it) LOL

Hmmmm, very interesting. I guess time will tell since most of the time I have no real clue! Ah yes, the joy of monitor sexing! LOL. Billy

I was just messing with you. I think you have the sexes right.

But time will tell if it is true or not.

You had me second guessing, but I was still sticking to my guns. All I really know is that one has a shorter, higher head, stockier body, and is very outgoing (Sully) while the other has a longer, narrower, flatter head, proportionately longer, leaner body and prefers to hide most of the time (Savane). So again, we'll see if someone everts or drops eggs in the next decade or so. Hahahaha! Billy
