i like calumma's because they give u about 800 flies for about 8.50, and they keep reproducing. i had mine last for about 4-5 months. but there is a min. of buying 2 cultures, so what u cood do i buy one flightless and one other culture since the flightless fruitflys will last a long time.

I was at petco yesterday and they were sellinf the in a container with flies and larvae.it was in the reptile section

personally I wouldn't buy them from petco. they are expensive and often not healthy (mold in the container, etc.)
When I was feeding FF I bought the kit from Timberline www.timberlinefisheries.com/fruit_fly.html
and have also ordered from reptilefood.com:
www.reptilefood.com/reptilefood/default.asp

I had a good experinece with both companies - excellent customer service. I also recommend the Hydei Sturdivant - their life cycle if a bit slower, but i found them to be hardier, less die-off, a bit larger and slower moving.

just my 2 cents.

here is one more link - never ordered but they specialize in ff

I would try drosophila, as lele recommended. I ordered from them last year after my quads hatced. The owner was very knowledgeable. I believe his name was Jerry, we spoke for about 15 minutes regarding all aspects concerning fruitflies. I do not recall exactly the price but I would order from him again anytime.
