Albino monacled cobra

Tomwetzel Feb 22, 2004 12:09 PM

Macro shot of albino cobras head using no flash at 1/30 second shutter speed and f 2.8 aperture their was a 25 watt incandescent bulb on the far side of the cage and I just let this small amount of light dominate the image. It was essential to use a tripod (and self timer) because of the slower shutter speed. The incandescent light used alone gives the image an overall red hue, but a felt this supported the mood I was going for in this shot.

Here is another shot of the same cobra. This ones a little blurry on the nose but I like it anyway! Thanks for the enthusiastic response.
