Hi, my good news is, my now chubs seems 100% better. A few days ago she gave me a scare, but now she seems all better, i will get a fecial soon just to confirm she is healthy enough to be introduced with her cage mates.
Also, My female malis which i think is gravid now weighs 223 grams. She started off at 198, now 3 weeks later she weighs 223. She is starting to get more oval, so i am almost posative she is gravid. Also, 1 month ago my uros would not be afraid of me i could pick them up and put them back in without any signs of stress. Now, when i walk into my room my male and female malis run under their rock, and my morocccan doesn't really care. So the malis are a lot more flightly now. Also, sometimes when they dont see me walk into the room i can get a glimps of them. all the uros eat at exactly the same time, which is almost always between 12:00-3:00 and then they the malis pair will stick together. Today when i walked in i saw the female go into the nesting box. When she saw me she darted across the cage to her "rock" where the male was. So is it normal for uros to get more flightly during the breeding season. Also, The malis always follow eachother around, and sometimes the moroccan follows one of them at any given time. For instance today when the malis female went into the nesting chamber the moroccan followed right behind her. And sometimes when my malis male feels like exploring the tank the moroccan will be right behind him. Is this normal? Do uros make small colonies like this in the wild, or are the solitary in the wild? I hear everyone saying that they are solitary and they like it alone, but i think that they colonize after a few years of being cagemates.
What i am trying to get at is do uros get more flightly during the breading season, and is it common for them to follow eachother around and eat as a "pack/colony".
