snake lost in car

zigor Feb 22, 2004 02:05 PM

i went to the reptile show in manassas va and purchased a large female ball python. on the way home, we stopped to eat and when i returned to the car i realized she'd gotten out of the tupperware. after searching everywhere i concluded that she must be have gone into the dash.

is there any chance of getting her out before she dies from the low temps? i tried heat packs in the passenger floor in a box but it did not get her out.

thanks in advance

I think that she will come out when they are hungry. I cant think of anything else. I hope you get your BP out.

Do you know anyone who has a garage attached to their house that is heated??
Just an idea...
Good luck!

If you know anyone who's good with cars, just take the dash out. I don't know what kind of car you have but it should be in the 15-20 bolt mark and shouldn't take more than a few hours to take out and put back in. Are you sure someone didn't bugger off with her?

my friend lost his in the my car once, but we found it not too long. I have a vibe, and it climbed under the back seat and went up into the inside of the wheel well part in the back of the car, most of my car comes apart easy so when got it out no problem. are you sure yours is in the dash? what kind of car do you have?

its a 2003 civic 4 door. the reason i think he went up in the dash is because the rug was pushed out a bit on the passenger floor and i could see into my console. ill check the back as well.

thank you all for your suggestions, i really appreciate it.

Some years ago, I had two ratsnakes escape while I was returning from a show. One was found behind a side panel, but the other had got into the air conditioning system. I took the car to main agents who managed to retrieve it for me -- after taking the complete interior apart and finding it behind the dash. It cost me over $500 to get two $20 dollar snakes back!
