question

Hello , I was wondering which way would be best to incubate leo eggs . Do I put no holes in the tupaware and let the perlite mosture keep the humidity , or do I drill 4 small holes and put a small lid of water in the incubator and controll it that way ?
I have a hova-bator 1602n . Thank you for any input

I would just use a sealed container, holes and lids of water sounds like a lot of unnecessary work. Open the sealed container at least once a week, to check on the eggs, and to get some fresh air in there.

Thank you , should I remoisen the perlite at any time ?

You shouldn’t really need to remoisten the perlite, if using a sealed container. I’ve gone an entire breeding season without having to add any water. If fertile eggs start to dent, and you’re not seeing as much condensation as normal, it would be a good idea to add some water to bring the humidity up. I’ve done this a few times this year, just be sure to add the water away from the incubating eggs (I use a spray bottle), and just do a little at a time.
