A Few Frilled Dragon Questions

Everlight389 Feb 22, 2004 06:33 PM

1) I'm building a cage thats 3' high, 4' long, and 2' deep... is this adequate for a single adult Frilled Dragon?

2) Would calcium dusted crickets, mealworms, and fruit be a good Frilled Dragon diet?

3) As they are desert reptiles, would the typical reptisun 5.0 bulb be enough UV? Or is that too much?

4) Where (other than a pet store) could I get a Frilled Dragon? What are the names of some prominent breeders?

Thanks
-----

Yes, that sounds good--if it were me thought I'd switch to 4high, 3 long

superworms and silkworms too--they rarely eat fruit and veggies, but you can try

3) As they are desert reptiles, would the typical reptisun 5.0 bulb be enough UV? Or is that too much?
definitely not too much uv--I would recommend mercury vapor bulbs -- www.uvheat.com . reptisuns are pretty low levels of uvb.

4) Where (other than a pet store) could I get a Frilled Dragon? What are the names of some prominent breeders?
this is pretty much off season for breeding--summer is best for finding captive bred ones. try KWE--he advertises on the classifieds here.

hope that helps
