Everglades Rat pict for Marwan

Sonya Jun 09, 2003 04:55 PM

I snapped a few of this guy to compare to the color of your yellow. BTW, he is FAT, he had also just shed and eaten a 50gram rat pup. He tended to get too much to eat over the winter and too if he was even remotely hungry he would try (and often enough) succeed in escaping. Clips, book weights and all.

Mine can push up on a lid of a cage and make it bow. I even hear the lid creak he puts the pressure on so well. I posted this pic of my male glades not long ago, but will take the opportunity to post it again on a relevent thread. This is also for Marwan.

Terry,

Definitely looks like a hypo to me!

He was darker and oranger when I got him over a year ago. He's lightened up since. He didn't look hypo originally, but you know how obsoleta change until at least three. It's kind of weird anymore when someone doesn't mention it be hypo and yet it turns out to look hypo. Is it a variation of the glades or is it a hypo trait? I guess I have to do some controlled breeding and prove it out one way or the other. It's hard to get alot of the obsoleta that may not be het for one thing or another. I should stick with old world. LOL. Thanks for posting your comments David.

Yeah, strong alright. Mine has been shoving off the lid with books on it too. (what would we do without book weights?) The clips are only for fun. Mine does look fat but I really think he is kicking into growth too. He is not the flaccid fat thing that some snakes can do....he is just big.
