I gonna put it lightly before someone yells at you.lol never mix species.
Whites can be cannibalistic. Tomato frogs are toxic. There you have it.

There are other things to consider and other risks besides the frogs being able to eat each other. Would they live well in the same type of enclosure? In the same temperature gradient? In the same humidity levels? Are they poisonous or in other ways dangerous to other possible cage mates?
Whites tree frogs are absolute pigs and don't hesitate to eat, or attempt to eat, most things that move and look like they could fit in their mouth. This includes smaller frogs, smaller lizards and most reasonably sized insects. They are a blast to keep but should only be housed with other whites tree frogs. Tomato frogs are poisonous and will produce a sticky white goo when they feel threatened. A possible out come if you chose to keep a tomato frog and a whites tree frog together would be a whites tree frog that choked on a sticky, gooey, poisonous and now dead tomato frog. I wouldn't recomend housing them in the same cage. Good luck,

Thank you all very much for the advice. I am always pleasantly surprised when I don't get yelled at for asking stupid question. lol. Does anyone have any opinions on which frog would be better for a frog novice?
Whites are great starters. So are horned frogs, fire belly toads, and african clawed frogs. There are plenty of posts on all of them so just search this forum or the other frog/toad forums.
