Wax Worm staple?

lostkauze Feb 22, 2004 08:35 PM

I won't use a wax worm staple. I use mealworms. But if I wanted to, or someone wanted to, why shouldnt I/they use wax worms as a staple? I know they are high in fat, and a bit pricey, but why couldnt I use them as a main stay in the diet?

Too much fat. It would be like us eating fast food for every meal. And not Subway, lol like mcdonalds and burger king. I don't like wax worms cause they don't move very much, so even when I tried to fatten up one of my girls she didn't care because nothing moved! Ahh well, kinda a waste of my money.

Here's a good breakdown of nutritional info..

a steady diet of mealworms is like a steady diet of Twinkies.

You could do it, but it's not good for you.
