What are good basking bulbs? Brand? Watts?

guardian8472 Feb 22, 2004 09:22 PM

Do uros need something like a Powersun UVB bulb or do they not require much UVB? I use a normal basking bulb for my sulcata in conjunction with a 7%UVB flourescent tube.

generally i've found that the MVB bulbs do not get the basking site hot enough, i do use one but it is for general heat, i also use a halogen bulb of 75 watts for the basking spot, the temp usually reach around 120-130, my guy seems to like it, the halogen is about 1.5-2 feet above the basking surface
