ball python ?!!! please respond

BloodPython7 Feb 22, 2004 09:28 PM

i just got my ball python yesterday and i love him, he is great!!! but hes been doing somthing thats kind of odd and i am wondering if this is normal, he sometimes lifts his head/neck streight up in the air kind of like a cobra about 6 inches from the ground and just stare around the room like he is scanning it or somthing and i had the tv on today while he was out and he lifted his head up like that again and he just stared at the tv. i thought it was kind of funny but i just wanted to ask if that was normal or should i get concerned about anything? i think someone once told me their ball did that before but im not sure. if someone in here can maybe tell me what he is actually doing it would be greatly appreciated! thanks

It is normal. My ball does it all the time when he is out of his cage. He will let me pet his head when he does it, its so cute

also, they do it to look around, and get a better view.
