I have been looking at several species and the teratoscincus scincus caught my eye. I was wondering if any of you could answer the following questions.
1. Housing, Feeding, ect.
2. Can they be handled?
Thanks for all your help.

I was given this site by LLDG. It's not much but it should help, it got me started on the right foot. (I recently got a pair).

I still didn't get any info on handling though. Sorry if I missed it in the article.
NO HANDLING!!!!!!! I have a male and am looking for a female so very hard and I can't turn one up so if you see a pair for sale get them. I say no handling because a chunk of scale will just fall right on off, mine has lost a whole chunck on it's back before but they grow back. They need around 4-5 inches of sand that is kept moist (when squeezed no water falls out) for the last 1 inch. I have mine in a 10 with rocks which it digs under and will also climb onto to call for a mate at about 1 am GRRR. they eat a few crickets a night and will not take water from a bowl, so I just spray him every time I see him out in day light and he laps up the water from his face and off the glass and keep spraying him until he retreats to his burrow because even as he starts to walk back he will pause to drink. They have no aggresion in them what so ever and are awesome geckos to keep so if you can find some CB or LTC go for it. Send me an e-mail if you find a lone female.
Thank you
Danny
