Cage Size ?

eighteenmonther Feb 23, 2004 10:18 AM

Is a Rubbermaid that's 39" long and 16.5 " wide large enough for a pair of full grown BP's? It's 9 " deep as well. It looks plenty long enough, just curious of what someone would think about the narrow width, ok or no?

Here's the direct link to the box on RM's site;

Kind of a pain, I know, but I'd appreciate any helpful suggestions, I need to build a rack ASAP and I thought these might be good.

Thanks,

John

A lot of breeders using rack systems use those exact bins or very similar ones. They are a decent size enclosure for most adult size ball pythons. They usually only house one snake in them though. They are kept together for breeding but not full time.

Thanks Cranwill, I thought the 16 1/2 inch width might be a bit skimpy, but for housing one full time, a pair for breeding only sounds good.

I do hope you are only breeding them and not keeping them in there full time toghether. Otherwise I would get 2 rubbermaids about that size, and set them up.

Yes,

I'll be keeping one per cage, 2 for breeding.
