Is there a problem with rotating the male into the females domicide, or do i have to do it the other way around. I am running 1.4 in two bins (bin 1 1.2, bin 2 0.2) and I would like to know which rotation is better.

At this point I just move him in. DON'T do it if they have young pups in there. And if it is a first time meeting I would do it when you will be close by to hear fighting. Rarely do I have trouble with anything more than pushing and shoving. If you have time and are worried and gonna change the cage anyway you can do it on cleaning day, take the girls all out and put them in the bathtub or a change out container with the boy in it and let them have him 'follow them home' once you are putting them back.

I figured that it would not be good to introduce him to the young-uns so that was never on the table. He originally spent the first month with the two albinos in that bin, and I was just wondering if there was going to be excessive agression because he would try to claim "their" territory.
I do have a question for you, since i read a while ago that you breed blue dumbo's. Where can I get ahold of a rat like that, or various other forms, for breeding purposes. Lizard food is lizard food, but im an engineer and I generally love math and science, so I would love to play around with punitt squares and the like. Albino's are boring, and I am sure eventually, my girlfriend will be claiming a few rats she deems as "too cute" for pets. I would like to get ahold of some good looking rats for my little project, and if you know where i can get 1 or two, that would be great.
Thanks alot.

I don't have much trouble with rats and territorys. Sometimes, rarely, I get a boy that is too full of himself, but if he can't play nice with others he goes in the freezer.
I got various and sundry rats just keeping an eye on local pet stores. I don't go to petco, but rather the local private shops that buy locally. Every now and then they have something cool. I got a pair of hairless years ago that way and continued that line for a long time. Then I got a blue line that I bred the hairless too and found some dumbo to breed into too. I have a petering out line right now that I am renewing. I also added a pair of blazed to. They were very cute and their personalitys sold me. I am waiting on several girls right now. Both hairless and blazed and a bunch in between. I can't breed hairless fast enough to sell at $3 ea at 4-5 weeks. Beats heck out of selling feeders for a buck.
That and I do try to breed 'interesting' colored mice as they will sell better for pets or feeders.

Personally, I would leave same male with the same females all of the time rather than moving things around. That means that you might need to adjust the group sizing to get the production numbers where you need them. I tried that moving the male around before and the production is too unpredictable and cannibalism is too frequent.
