Meet "Boo". She is a 13 foot, 2 1/2 year old albino granite burmese. She was due to lay a few weeks ago based on the first verified breeding, but apparently she took at a later date and breeding. She was bred with a granite het albino male so I am expecting about 50/50 granite het albino and full albino granite babies (roughly). Boo's ovulation was not a very big one and her entire pregnancy has not been an overly large one so I am not expecting a lot of eggs. I'll be happy if she drops 25. She has been nervously digging into and rearranging the papers in her cage trying to find the best place to nest. You can't see the bulk of her small pregnancy as it is under her, but it is still very noticeable. Her muscle mass has characteristically decreased and this is noticeable in her neck pictured here. I didn't want to pull her out and disturb her for the pic so this is the best I can do for now.

Boo is a very white on light yellow girl. She will have very good looking babies.

This is "Corky". She is smaller than Boo. She's only about 11 1/2 feet, but her ovulation and pregnancy DWARFS Boos ovulation and pregnancy. Though quite smaller than Boo I am optomistic that her clutch will be a LOT larger. Corky is also 2 1/2 years old. Her pattern is exquisite, though I have a hard time capturing it without getting a flashback, total washout. I am shielding the flash here by covering it with cloth, so it darkens the pics a little, but the pattern is still very noticeable. She's prettier than Boo. Corky was bred with a full on albino granite male, so her offspring will all be 100% albino granite.

About 40 minutes ago I found Boo laying her eggs. As I manuvered her neck to get at the eggs I could see that many were slugs. So far as yet the count is 33 slugs, or "duds" and 22 fertile eggs. She still has about 30% of her mass remaining so I am hoping for some more good eggs. But if not 22 is good enough I suppose. It happens. And it's still close to the number I was hoping for based on her small pregnancy. The duds are tiny and are maybe 1/5th the size of the fertile eggs. I'll get pictures up soon. I'll take them as soon as she's done laying, probably around 2 am tonight.
