I could be something simple like a piece of cage furniture fell on hisleg - does it appear broken or just sore?
Otherwise, it could be MBD, due to lack of calcium absorbtion. Does the leg look funny? bending where it should not?
Please supply more info on the leg.

Hi i just checked her over and it is her front left, she is eating fine her normal self. I haven't had leo's that long but i have a male normal phase and the little baby she's about 3 months old now so im really worried. She is very skittish so wen i try and handle her she squirms to get away so i have never really handled her till just now. It is strange she was doing so well till 3 days ago wen i noticed she had a limp. I thought nothing of it until ystrday wen i realized it was more prominent. I supply her a dish of calcium but haven't been dusting those tiny 3rd size crickets. Im kicking myself now and wish i had. I dont have a clue wat has happened or how she did it. But im gonna have to start dusting those tiny crix. If it is MBD is it possible that if i give her plenty of calcium the bone will grow properly while she is still growing.Plz reply i really need some expert advice Gilbery007

If it is MBD, plenty of calcium should bring her out of it. If you are extra worried you can supply a uvb light while she is healing. I had to do this with one I rescued who was really bad. I'm sure exposure to the uvb light helped her heal faster. But, that is my opinion.
I'm off to work...I'm sure someone else will jump in anytime.
Best of luck with you both. )

Hi Gilbrey,

The limp your leo has -- does it look like the wrist is turned in towards her other foot? Does the leg itself look bulky, kind of like Popeye's arm? If the answer is yes to either one, seems pretty likely its a calcium deficiency. Last year I had several babies that did NOT lick calcium out of a dish. Now I trust healthy adults to make use of calcium powder on their own, but I will never assume babies will take care their own calcium needs again. Dust those little crickets!

Also there is a liquid calcium supplement you can use, directions say 3 drops per day. Kind of a pain to get some of them used to licking it, but then it gets easier. It costs about $10 at a petstore - and you should start using asap if you suspect MBD. She may pull out of it just fine with you treating her yourself, but if you can take her to a vet they can give calcium glutonate (if I remember right) injections with a much faster effect.

Good luck to you!

I am really beating myself up over this. She has been eating really well and doing gr8 its only these last three days she has started limping. So it has come as a real shock. Do i dust crix then every meal? every other meal or wat
