I cut it open cuz i flashed a light in it and did not see anything pink ,i was told this is the way u can tell if its alive or not.So i did and i found a white glob lookin thing..Real nasty. This means it was infertile right ? Just wanna make sure i didnt kill a baby leo.

If you candled the egg and you saw no vascular tissue, its a good sign its infertile. I would always wait until it collapses and molds though before sacrificing a potential egg.

I had an egg last year that candled pink with vascuar tissue, never dented, but after 2 months nothing. I split it open and found it full of rotting amniotic fluid. Embryo just never got started. Thats life for ya.

Good luck with your future babies.

I guess the nasty white stuff was rotting amniotic fluid.

I still got one left i'll wait till it gets moldy just in-case their is life in it after all.But thanks for the info !

it was either
a.) infertile
or
b.) fertile and died soon upon being laid... for whatever reason... weak embryo, too coool temps, too hot... you really never know

just be patient good things come to those who wait
