Blazing Blizzard Leopard Gecko

vmsherp Feb 23, 2004 04:44 PM

I've been receiving lots of requests for pictures of these now that they've grown up a bit. Thought I'd share a couple (and get a couple entries in the free trip to Daytona giveaway)

Note that we chose to use one of our most yellowish colored blizzards in the creation of the original double-hets, so I guess this could be called a Banana Blazing Blizzard. But I really don't want to start all of that discussion....

Enjoy!

Man thats an awesome accomplishment. Are those the Rainwater or Tremper line? How many do you guys actually have? How many have you hatched out. How many het pairs did it take? Hows would you rate their overall health, any defects?

We used Tremper Albinos to create our original double-hets. We hatched two out of about 70 eggs (I'm a crappy record keeper...) One hatchling was a bit slow to take off, but is now larger than the other and we'll be breeding her back to one of the original male double-hets this year. Otherwise, they are pretty normal leos! Very light-shy though...

Proud owner and operator of a Powerbook G4! Why use windows, when I can use Panther? It even sounds better.

They look so much "neater" as adults! What did your ratios end up like of blazings to possible hets etc? Are your blazings breeding this year?

I am sort of glad to see all the yellow, all though it reminds me of a PA, they are still on my top ten for 2004, if I don't hatch one out I may break down and buy one. It truely is amazing to see all the new leo morphs pop out each year. Heck, if a couple of my projects work out I'll have some exciting things for 2005! Thank you for posting that pic VMS!
