Looking for input.

Dedalus Feb 23, 2004 05:41 PM

Ok I'm asking for some input from you guys. I'm going to be expanding my herp collection in a few months. I'm debating wether to expand my leo colony with an albino tang and maybe a hypo tang. Or I'm going pick up a mali uromastyx breeding pair. I love both, I just don't know which to get, does anyone have any input on the uro's?

Uromastyx are very cool, but if you are looking to get into more challenging herps I would say the Uro, they can be quite beautiful as well.

Leos are nice, but are pretty common, but they look very nice and are easy to keep.

It is your decision really, I don't know much about keeping Uros... I would like too eventually but my Iguana takes up most of my herp room

i would go with the uro's because it sounds like you have alot of leos and it kinda sounded like you wanted the uros. plus its always good to have a varity

i agree it is pretty much ur dicision. uros if ur looking for some thing a lil more challanging, then go with the uro, if u just want something else to do then just get the leos... we just got our second uro last frinite, hes 3 yrs old, and really awsome. our first was sick so a local breeder took him and cut us a deal on this one. its accually my 7 yr old sisters, she named him chubby.

It's kind a 50/50 split honestly, I'd like to diversify my collection but I'd also like to start breeding leos on a larger scale. I love leos I always will but I think uro's are f**kin sweet!! ... so many decisions so little money

Hi

I have seen uro's in petstores, and if you do get one, plan on getting a big enough tank for when they are adults. I don't now anything about them except from seeing them in petstores though.

Take Care, TLB
