Hey

I want to know how big enough of a cage i need for two mali uros. curently i have one in a 50 gallon tank. There is an underground Burrow/nest, and two caves. The ground is millet seed, do i need to change anything if i want to have two malis instead of one?

Hi-personally I would go bigger 4' wide x 2' deep if you have the room.I find it gives them more space to get away from each other, at the times of the year when they don't tolerate each other(assuming they are adults)I have about 1/3 of my tanks with half buried stacked slate slabs so there are numerous places to "get away from it all"

Hi Bill,Bob,Joe and Frank,
A 50gal. is honestly on the small side for 1 adult Uro (most common species). If your interested in a second, I would deffinately consider a larger enclosure. Take a look at my pics (my tanks included), you might come away with an idea or two. I'll throw in my disclaimer..."I am not an expert"! Anyways, have fun and enjoy. I have them because I lov'em!

Hi,
I hope you don't mind... But may I call you just Bill? Here's a web site that can answer most if your questions including cage / enclosure construction. I hope you find it helpful.
