My baby girl is very edgey the past day or so. I fed her last thursday. I'm not sure if she is hungry, or about to go into a shed cycle, but not very happy to be touched.

She flattens herself out when i touch her. Plus she is acting as if she has never seen me before, she would huff at me, and try to get away. No striking, but it's just out of the norm, even for the time before her sheds.

She is only about 8 months old. About 4ft or so.Temps and humidity are fine.

So I'm lost.

Thanks in advance,

Richard

My 13' girl nailed my hand a couple of weeks ago...and she's never so much as hissed before in the 4 months I've had her or the 2 years I helped my best friend care for her (who I adopted her from). I've talked to a couple of other keepers via email recently and they've experienced similar events, normally docile snakes acting out of character. As one friend coined it, they're have a 'bad scale' day.
