blood and breeding***(gross blood pics)***

jyohe Feb 23, 2004 06:45 PM

blood clots from breeding corns......
these are alot bigger than in the pic........bigger than any other I ever had....out of thousands of breedings........

both snakes show no signs at all of any problems.and no blood on them....I think this is from the female actually.....

......so if you see one little bitty half a drop of blood smudged on the paper....don't cry about it....it happens...

Thanx....

*(this for your information only)....

LOL, that is gross, but i had to look didn't I.

That seems like a lot, was this a first time female? Ruby left no blood last year, I guess I would have flipped if she did. Glad you shared the gross pics.

Yup, I found a massive blood spill last season. There was a pool of blood about the size of a salad plate. Neither corns showed any signs of a problem and never got any infections or anything. I am assuming it was from the male and perhaps the female tried to pull away too soon. I'll be putting him in with a female soon this year to make sure he can still do his job.
