This is my "genetic" laddertail kahl albino possible het snow I picked up from Chuck T. earlier this season.
I knew when I got him he was not a bright tailed albino, and that was fine I was going for genetics. However over time this animal is starting to show more colors, and Im starting to hold out a bit of hope hes got some "style" to him yet.
Allthough he doesnt have alot of orange in his tail, hes is starting to get great orange highlights up his whole body, especially on his sides. Now Ive only had one other kahl albino, and it colored up with age (alot in fact) but where this one is turning orange the other one was turning pinks (typical from what Ive heard of colorfull albinos).
So I guess what Im asking is this, for people who have experience with kahl albinos, the orange I am seeing is it likely this will countinue intensifying into adulthood. Or is this snake destined to be a "snow wannabe" and just get more and more yellow and patternless.
Also his tail is very lavander where it looks white in the pic (very hard to show). Is this also common for washed out albinos?
Im happy with this guy whatever he looks like as he gets older, just trying to imagine him with size...lol (I know about impossible)
One last thing, I have been told by a couple people (and dont know if its true or not) that the more colorfull possible hets for anerys (in common not albino hets) tend to be the ones that hit het anery. On the same note, I have had people tell me the more washed out looking albino possible het anerys tend to hit anery. Is there any logic to this theory from what any of you guys have seen in your breedings? Does it even seem logical, by this I mean, IF a more colorfull poss het (common) is more likely a het anery, then why would the duller poss het snow (albino) be more likely to be het anery? Do the pinks typical in a het lead to more whites in a albino, while the darker pigments lead to the oranges?
Sorry if I lost anyone here, kinda lost myself, hard to type what Im trying to ask. Any input in appreciated.
