i met a guy who breeds some drymarchon, and i have the opportunity to get either blacktail cribo, redtail cribo, or tex indigo. im leaning toward the texas indigo or the blacktail. what do you think is the better snake for a beginning drymarchon enthusiast?

Hey Greg,How are the tortugas? I've kept a eastern, a blacktail, and now a yellowtail and have no complaints except the yt and bt cages smelled a whole lot better than the eastern indigo's.lol

the turts are snappy as ever. lol.

im really looking at the blacktail and tex indigo. its a tough decision. which are easier as far as feeding, handling and general hardiness?

I haven't kept rubidus, or melanurus. I can say that I loved having a texas indigo as much as any snake I've ever had. The Texas indigo prefered and tolerated drier conditions than the easterns (and probably the rest of the cribos too). That translates to easier husbandry. Texas Indigos tend to be as sweet natured as any of them.

You know my vote now.
