Can I please get your opinion????? Sex-wise

mngrivera Feb 23, 2004 09:40 PM

I just got Goldberg who is a male. Since I had no up-close experience I now think that Jess is a male and not a female. With so many of you here that know what you are talking about(Thank God) can you give me your opinion? Since Goldberg has gotten here Jess waves daily which makes me think that she knows someone a little bigger is around

though you pic is a bit blurry i'd say its a girl. hand waving is a submissive gesture and is used by both sexes.

Just curious, why do you think it's female and not male? It looks to me like two very clear bumps.

Just trying to learn myself how to sex. My baby looks like that and I though for sure he was a male.

It looks like female to me too. I think I know what you're talking about with the two bumps. I think it also depends where the two "bumps" are. With this one the raised areas (bumps)appear way at the edge of the tail's sides and there is a single, raised area right behind the vent. If it was male the two raised areas you are referring to would be more towards the middle.

At least that's the way I've understood it to be.

How many bearded dragon breeders usually go? I am interested in getting my 3rd at that time and was wondering if there will be many breeders at that time in Houston?

It is a hard picture to judge by because....

The vent is small like a females, and yet it seems to show to bumps like a male.

Without a better picture, I would say it is female
