Feeding roaches

snowmen Jun 09, 2003 07:28 PM

OK, I've fed lobster roaches to geckos, no problem.
The only drawback is that lobsters can climb smooth surfaces.
So I move on to Roaches part Duex.
I am now raising discoids and Orange Spot roaches (and they cannot climb a lick). I havn't fed any yet as the colonies are new......but these dudes are huge. Still no probem as I can feed the smaller younger roaches. So here is my concern, it appears as though the exoskeleton is much harder for discoids and OS than lobsters. Are small gecks going to be able to 'crunch' the discoids and OS's?

I've fed discoid nymphs of various sizes to both leopard and masobe geckos. They seem to like them and have no problem 'crunching' them.
