Looks like a cross with a yellow rat.

but that is the norm for corns from a particular geographic area (just can't remember where). I personally think they are rather attractive, but then I'm partial to normal phase corns.
Raven
on pg. 74 they state that four faint dark stripes are common in many W/C Corns..they go on to say that those stripes alone are not evidence that they're hybrids with Yellow Rats.
I've been doing a lot of snake-related reading lately (both in books and old issues of Reptiles magazine) and just couldn't place where I'd read it. That sounds like what I remember reading though. Thanks!
Very nice normal
i love the ones that have the dark stripes. he looks as if he may be in shed too. I'm really starting to like the natural beauty of normals

I have seen a lot of wild caught corns that have faint to moderate striping on them. I always thought it was from close association to the other Elaphe species that develop striping. It seems that it would be easy to selectively breed for it, but probably folks have been selectively breeding it out of the captive bred gene pool.
