My little Tokay breeding colony

lizard-lady Feb 24, 2004 05:25 AM

Hello,

I have a little breeding colony of Tokays, When is it breeding season? Do I have to get a incubator or can I leave them in the cage. I'm afraid of damage them because they glue them places. If I use an incubator what temp do I set it for? It takes about 100 days to incubate, right?

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Just leave them in the tank. Tokays do care well for eggs and babies. At ambient humidity and normal tank temps, eggs hatch after 90 till up to more than 200 days.
There are some tricks which help to remove eggs, but normally you will destroy them if you attempt to remove them.
Some tokay females do lay year round, but most produce one clutch per month between April and October.

Hope that helps

What about the crickets? Won't they eat the eggs?
